On the new course for beginners you will learn how to create a beautiful picture such as this. Maggie's Tree of Life combines wool fibres with detail in silk and yarn using both wet felting and dry needle felting techniques. Visit the 'Courses' page for details. I love Maggie's unique choice of colours, and the way the yarn 'wiggles'! There are more pictures in the Gallery of pieces you could make too.
Felting is easy and therapeutic, once you know how. The beauty of coming to a class is learning from fellow fibre enthusiasts. The trick with felt-making is knowing when the magic has happened - for any of you who have had a go, you'll know what I mean. The books all make it sound so easy.
